If you have skills in electronics, woodwork, mechanics, sewing etc., if you know how to repair, don't hesitate to contact us to support the Repair Café! You can also help with reception and organisation

Please note that there may not be any repairers with specific skills on the day of the event.

For touch-screen/smartphone devices, the service will generally be limited to diagnostics and advice. It is strongly recommended that you have these devices repaired by specialist shops, which will have all the tools and knowledge you need and will be able to carry out a proper repair.

What should I check before coming?

- Is the control light on? Are the battery(ies) charged? Is the power cord in good condition?
- Appliance maintenance: empty the filters on hairdryers and hoovers, descale a coffee machine with citric acid, clean your object, etc.

What should I bring to the repair?

Think about all the items you need to test your repair. For a coffee machine, take some coffee or a capsule, for example. For a DVD player, take a DVD. For a petrol machine, bring your petrol, etc. Charger, cable, manual if necessary.
For your hi-fi system: remote control, speakers, etc.
For your TV: cables used for connection (to receiver, amplifier).
The spare part if you have identified it.
