Community climate coach - LUXEMBOURG
Luxembourgish edition of a Europe wide partnership which aims to develop a system to train, support and enable Community Climate Coaches (CCC)
Community climate coach - LUXEMBOURG
What is a community climate coach?
Community climate coaches play a crucial role in community resilience and regeneration. By amplifying local resilience initiatives, they help to shift from a vision of unlimited economic growth to a regenerative paradigm that values human and natural well-being.
Our aim
To build the capacity of multipliers, and particularly Klimateam members, by :
- fostering their confidence in themselves and in the group
- menabling them to recognize and mobilize the potential of their region
- giving them the tools to facilitate and enable the emergence of community initiatives and concerted action in their neighborhoods
The aim of the CCC programme is to accelerate community climate action. The training sessions are designed to cultivate a deeper connection with nature, build on community strengths and facilitate participatory processes.

Are there any additional partners or funders connected to your initiative?
The CCC project partners are a mix of larger networks of community-led initiatives and smaller adult education providers. They have complementary expertise in community resilience, social innovation, collaborative working and climate action.
Participation opportunities
We offer a number of participation activities for individuals and groups who want to engage into climate action with their community. You do not need to be a professional coach to engage into the programm. You can be designing urban gardens, facilitating climate assemblies, hosting repair cafés, running ecosystem restoration camps or decolonization workshops. Equally you might support a community to generate and implement its own community climate action plan or community resilience plan.

Objectives
The purpose of the Community Climate Coaches project is to build and activate a Climate Coach practitioner network and movement for enabling and catalysing action-oriented, dialogue-based processes and pathways to resilience and regeneration. Once activated by the project, this Climate Coach practitioner network will have the purpose of activating a systemic approach to expanding, deepening and accelerating Community Climate Action through the dissemination and use of tools, good practice, learning pathways and data gathering that together bring about ambitious levels of community change and positive action in response to climate change across Europe. (purpose to create activated communities supported by these coaches)
Impact
The CCC project will enable a growing network of Community Climate Coaches to deliver accessible and affordable learning and action. It will deliver the new role of Community Climate Coach, people who can maximise community engagement to deliver significant carbon reductions.
