A community garden where members own their own beds as well as care for a specific area collectively.
Community Garden Ville Haute (Uewerstad)
The community garden is located in the Ville Haute and Gare district of Luxembourg and consists of about 20 privately used beds, each measuring 8 square metres.
In addition, an area of at least the same size is used for communal cultivation, which the group decides on together by mutual agreement. This part of the garden is cultivated in small groups. The sequence of the fruit is respected.
There is a shed for storing the communal tools. Composting is also done on site.
In addition to communal gardening, events, festivals, workshops and further training are offered.

The garden is financed by the annual membership fees.
Participation opportunities
In itself, the garden is open to all interested people from the corresponding district, but at the moment there is a waiting list.
Members pay an annual membership fee of 40€.

The aim of the community garden is to have a garden for local residents that they can design, grow and maintain exclusively according to ecological principles. Since it is located directly in the district, it is accessible without a car and thus creates a place of exchange for the people in the neighbourhood.
