A community garden for members from the Sassenheim community
The Gäert Matgesfeld is a garden created by the Amis de la fleur Belvaux (CTF) in collaboration with the municipality of Sassenheim (Sanem).
Here, each member of the community garden has his or her own bed measuring 7x7 m2. In addition to the 28 individual beds, there is also a plot for communal cultivation as well as several beds for educational use by schools and childcare centres.
There is also a communal greenhouse, a communal area with a garden shed, a water point, a common room with benches, a dry toilet and a communal compost.
Regular events and workshops continue to take place in the garden together with the Matgesfeld Environmental and Education Centre.
A newsletter about the activities in the community garden is published every two months.
