Mesa, La Maison de la Transition: A citizen space at your service and that of the planet.
La Mesa is a Third Place of Transition in Luxembourg. There are evenings, debates, workshops, screenings, readings, concerts with a library and a "free your stuff" zone, the Give-Box.
It is also a grocery store selling organic products and products from the Greater Region, with a focus on bulk sales.
The Resto / Bar is an organic vegetarian restaurant at lunchtime with a daily menu, salads, soups and pies, local organic drinks and snacks during the day.
The place is also open to all those who are committed to this change and who can propose activities, workshops or animations.
It works on conscious consumption, food sovereignty and fair trade.
How is your initiative financed?
MESA has a commercial dimension with the sale of local ecological products, the restaurant and the bar. It is managed by a cooperative.
Are there any additional partners or funders connected to your initiative?
Mesa works closely with the partners SOS Faim and CIGL Esch/Alzette
We regularly need people who can help us with the organisation of events, running workshops and/or helping us with stalls. As a volunteer, you can offer workshops, for example a kefir and kombucha workshop or a tawashi making workshop - the possibilities are endless!
