The House of Food Transition
Teranga
The responses to be devised or promoted to encourage sustainable food systems need to be at individual and collective levels, locally and globally, in the short and long term. There are many ways forward and many different names for them. A fairer world is possible! It's up to us to imagine and invent it TOGETHER. With this in mind, SOS Faim has opened the TERANGA third-party centre, the Maison de la Transitipn Aliimenatire in Schifflange.

What’s needed
Engaged citizen Part time volunteersObjectives
Farming practices must evolve towards an agro-ecological model and eating habits must move towards more sustainable consumption. But that's not enough! A systemic, political and societal change is needed if we want our food system to be capable of feeding 10 billion people tomorrow, while respecting the environment and human beings. We have a lever for action: human rights.
Food is a human right, and our policies must guarantee it!
It is up to society to influence the political framework so that the standards and laws in force are fairer and enable everyone, everywhere in the world, to eat enough. It's up to every citizen and consumer to take action and make choices. By choosing what we eat, we can promote a more sustainable food system based on family producers and agro-ecology.
