The Repair Café is all about fixing broken items together and getting professional advice. It’s a chance to meet people and find inspiration.
Cost? A voluntary donation.
Would you like to get involved as a repairer? Are you handy or do you know how to sew? Get in touch! You’ll be warmly welcomed by a friendly team!

If you have skills in electronics, woodwork, mechanics, sewing, etc., or if you know how to repair things, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to support the Repair Café! You can also help with welcoming visitors and organising the event.

Please note that there may not be any repairers with expertise in specific areas on the day of the event

For touchscreen devices and smartphones, services will generally be limited to diagnostics and advice. It is strongly recommended that you have these devices repaired by specialist shops, which will have all the appropriate and necessary tools and expertise and will be able to carry out repairs to the required standard

What should I check before coming in?

– The device’s power supply: Is the indicator light on? Are the batteries fully charged? Is the power cable in good condition?
– Device maintenance: clear the filters in hairdryers and vacuum cleaners, descale a coffee machine with citric acid, clean your item, or similar, etc.

What do I need to bring with me for the repair?

Make sure you bring everything needed to test the item you’re having repaired. For a coffee machine, bring some coffee or a capsule, for example. For a DVD player, bring a DVD. For a petrol-powered machine, bring your petrol, and so on. Also bring the charger, cable and, if available, the manual.
For your hi-fi system: remote control, speakers
For your TV: the cables used to connect it (to the set-top box, to the amplifier)
The spare part, if you’ve identified it.
