A community garden in Esch-sur-Alzette
The Lycée Guillaume Kroll was looking for a project with an ecological focus and therefore approached the Service Ecologique of the city of Esch-sur-Alzette, who referred them to the CIGL Esch. As a result, the Eis Wiss community garden was born in 2019.
In close collaboration with the CIGL Esch, the students and the Parks Department, the garden has been continuously developed, especially in 2020 and 2021, when elements such as a cultivated mound, a flowering meadow and a small path were added. In addition, regular checks of the planters take place, accompanied by joint workshops.
Meanwhile, "Eis Wiss" is part of the "Edible City" project.
