A community garden in the Limpertsberg district, founded in 2014.
The Limpertsberg Community Garden was founded in 2014 on the initiative of the City of Luxembourg and covers approximately 630 m2.
The garden is divided into individual plots, which make up one third of the garden, and 9 communal plots.
A variety of fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, courgettes, potatoes or strawberries are grown in the garden, as well as herbs and flowers. An annual crop rotation takes place on the communal plots.
Cooperative
Stadt Luxemburg
The initiative is supported by the City of Luxembourg.
In order to be able to use the community garden, payment of an annual fee is required, as well as regular participation in meetings and training sessions and the maintenance of one's own plot as well as the community plot
The aim of the community garden is to create a garden for local residents, which they can design, grow and maintain exclusively according to ecological principles. Since it is located directly in the district, it is accessible without a car and a place of exchange is created for the people in the neighbourhood.
The community garden is aimed at residents of the Limpertsberg district - there is a waiting list for the community garden.
