Local seed exchange
13.03.2026 - 13.03.2026
17:00 - 20:00
Ôpen, 12 route d'Echternach, 6114 Junglinster, Junglinster
Initiative: Community Gardening
Come to the "small seed exchange" organised by SEED, CELL and SOS-Faim in Ôpen, Junglinster!
As they do every year, SEED and the citizen seed network are distributing their local seeds to contribute to the diversity of cultivated plants and preserve seed-related expertise.
During this event, you will be able to meet active members of the network and bring along any seeds you have harvested to have them evaluated.
A short activity is planned from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm: Children's workshop | Planting a tomato plant.
Registration by email at moien@openlenster.lu is required.
In addition, Frank Adams, seed artisan in Luxembourg and co-founder of SEED asbl, will give a lecture on the proposed European regulation on "new genomic techniques" (NGT) for agriculture, which represents a paradigm shift for agriculture and food in the European Union. This topic should be of interest to everyone, as it concerns the future of our food.
🎟 The event is free of charge and no registration is required, except for the children's workshop (moien@openlenster.lu).
