Centre of ecological learning asbl. (CELL) and the DATer (Department of Spatial Planning) of the Ministry of Energy and Spatial Planning initiated the project and are the main sponsors for the development of the platform.
In accordance with Articles 12, 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter "GDPR") and Directive EU 2018/1725, this information sheet explains how CELL asbl. and its partners collect, process and protect personal data in connection with your registration and participation in the platform through the writing of articles on sustainability initiatives.

To integrate your contribution into our website, you must create a free user account on our platform.
By creating this account, you provide personal data, meaning you are considered a data subject.
The personal data processed includes: - Your first name, surname - Your email address - Your password - Your affiliation (civil society, government, local authority, research, school or business).
This platform is being developed in collaboration with partner organisations, all of which play a role in shaping the platform’s content, structure and functions. The platform is a space where anyone can find out about sustainability initiatives and transition projects or write articles about them. All partners are joint controllers within the meaning of the GDPR.
At present, we have eight partner organisations:
The number of partner organisations may increase as the platform develops. The announcement will be updated accordingly.
Coordination between the partner organisations regarding the development of the platform’s content, structures and functions is ensured by the steering group, in which all partner organisations are represented. It is supported by the project manager, who is also in contact with the platform’s development team.
Only the partner organisations have access to your personal data for the purpose of reviewing your articles.
The purpose of processing personal data is: - To complete your registration on our platform - To enable you to write and publish articles - To support your work on the articles.
The personal data you provided during registration will be stored for the duration of your account on our platform. If you decide to stop contributing to the platform and wish to delete your account, your personal data will be deleted as soon as possible.
The legal basis is set out in Article 6.1.(a) of the GDPR: The data subject has given consent to the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes. In fact, we require your personal data to create a user account.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights in particular: the right to information, the right of access to your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to object, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint.

This notice is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Luxembourg law.
